Oh my pie!

Pieminster- bold street, Liverpool.

So I have been walking past this place for a couple a weeks now and kept saying ‘I need to go there’ and I took the plunge and finally went with my partner.

Let me start by saying... wow. If the sign outside doesn’t make you smile the food certainly will. As soon as you see the place it states that it is vegan friendly with a big sign outside. Now I don’t know about you but this makes me happy, a place that makes people know vegan is a main priority. The staff also wear a tshirt that has ‘vegan’ on the back. Not going to lie when I walked in a panicked a little because it was empty. I mean me and my partner where the only people in there. So I was a little dubious but was greeted by a lovely waitress who showed us to a seat straight away. On the menu it states which dishes are vegan and which aren’t, but if you’re like me I always have questions. So when the waitress came over my first question was ‘what is the Mother Earth?’ It’s a deal they do for a pie, mash, gravy, peas and a stuffing ball. I asked if it was all vegan and it was so I was made up! But it gets better, she asked if I wanted a specific vegan menu. Now, I much prefer this as it’s right there in front of me. So the menu comes and you have a choice between two pies... there’s a chicken style one and a mushroom one, I had the ‘chicken’ pie, with champ mash (mash with vegan cheese and spring onions), peas, gravy and a stuffing ball. Let me tell you, it was AMAZING. I honestly couldn’t fault the food. For desert I then had salted caramel ice cream. Now if I’m being honest I think I was that full from my main I made myself sick eating some ice cream but it was also AMAZING.

The prices in the place are not too bad, for 2 ‘mother earth’ deals and 3 drinks (I was thirsty) it cost around £32. BUT you are absolutely satisfied and full. You can also get different deserts and you don’t even have to have mash! You can get loaded fries too! I know,

it’s a dream.

But yes, overall I give the place 5/5 for everything and I will definitely be visiting there again soon!
